Cancellation and refunds.
What you are paying for
The Alimiyyah is a subscription of £47 a month. It renews automatically on the same date each month until you cancel it. There is no enrolment fee and no minimum term.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Settings on your dashboard, which opens the billing portal. Cancelling stops the next payment. Your access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then the portal closes.
Your fourteen day cooling off right
Because you buy at a distance, you have fourteen days from the day you enrol to change your mind and receive a refund of your first payment. Write to support@muallimah.com within those fourteen days and say that you are cancelling. You do not have to give a reason.
Where the cooling off right does not apply in full
If you ask us to start the programme immediately and you have used part of the month before you cancel, we may keep a proportionate amount for the part you used. If you have completed the month's content, the right to a refund ends.
Refunds after the first fourteen days
Placeholder, to be confirmed by the Institute. The standing position is that monthly payments already taken are not refunded, and cancelling stops future payments only. Exceptional cases such as illness or bereavement are considered individually. Please tell us the specific terms you want stated here and we will replace this paragraph.
How a refund is paid
Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, through Stripe, normally within five to ten working days of being approved.
Failed payments
If a payment fails we email you and try again. If it does not succeed, access pauses until the payment is made. Nothing is deleted while it is paused.
